Directions to CASPO

8820 Shellback Way, La Jolla, CA 92093-0234 in Google maps or UCSD Maplink.

From lower SIO- CASPO is located on the eastside of the footbridge, with MESOM located at the top of Biological Grade. There is a Northbound SIO shuttle stop at Nierenberg Hall.

SIO shuttle from UCSD campus- The SIO shuttle departs from Peterson Hall every 15 mins. The southbound stop is on La Jolla Shores, just past Biological Grade. The northbound stop is in CASPO’s parking lot at Nierenberg Hall.

Bus Route 30- MTA bus 30 travels on La Jolla Shores Dr, right through the CASPO campus. When coming Southbound, your stop will be at the bottom of the large S curve. When coming Northbound your stop will be just past the footbridge.

From Northbound I-5- Exit W La Jolla Pkwy, Turn right on La Jolla Shores Dr. Continue on La Jolla Shores. After the footbridge, turn right onto Downwind Way. Continue to left and it becomes Shellback Way. Continue to parking lot.

From Southbound 1-5- Exit W La Jolla Village Dr. Turn left on La Jolla Shores Dr. At bottom on the S curve, beside the NOAA Fisheries building, turn left into the CASPO parking lot.

Parking

A parking permit is required 7am-11pm, 7 days a week, in the Nierenberg/Spiess Hall parking lot, P014.  Visitors who need hourly or daily parking can pay for it at parking pay stations located in the parking lot or on their mobile device using the ParkMobile app.

You can also contact your UCSD/SIO host ahead of time (at least 2 business days before your visit) to request a parking code. Please direct your host to contact Will Rivera at CASPO Business Office (wrivera@ucsd.edu).
