ARM West Antarctic Radiation Experiment

On November 5, 2015 the U.S. Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Climate Research Facility launched the ARM West Antarctic Radiation Experiment (AWARE). As a collaborative project between DOE and the National Science Foundation, AWARE scientists collect and analyze data covering the atmospheric energy balance, cloud microphysics, precipitation, and aerosol chemistry. The lead scientist is Dan Lubin, Climate, Atmospheric Science and Polar Oceanography (CASPO) at Scripps. Read more at the AWARE site.
