CCCIA collaboration results in inaugural Ocean Visions conference in Atlanta, Georgia to discuss ocean solutions through science and engineering.
Researchers from the Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation (CCCIA) and Scripps Institution of Oceanography (Scripps) traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for the inaugural Ocean Visions conference on April 1-4, 2019. The 4-day conference focused on enabling ocean and climate solutions through science and engineering. CCCIA was part of the collaborative team that envisioned and executed the event.

Ocean Visions is a collaboration between the Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions at Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment, Smithsonian Ocean Portal, Ocean Conservancy, Georgia Aquarium, and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO. The goal of Ocean Visions is to highlight ocean-based science and engineering successes in the areas of resilience, adaptation, mitigation and sustainability and promote scalable solutions across human, climate and ecological dimensions.
