Scripps Cares

The diversity of personal experiences, values, and world views that arise from differences of culture and circumstance among students, faculty, and staff at Scripps Institution of Oceanography strengthens our institution and our mission.

Organizational Transformation & Community Enrichment

Interdisciplinary research collaborations advancing human understanding of Earth systems benefit from the diverse talents and backgrounds of team members from all over the world.

Scripps researchers serve on panels and commissions charged with analyzing complex global problems and generating solutions, where diversity of perspectives and expertise is understood as a critical asset.

Scripps also recognizes the value of basic science literacy across the socioeconomic spectrum, and actively seeks opportunities to engage diverse audiences in learning about what we do.
