Scientific drillships allow scientists access to some of Earth's most challenging environments, collecting data and samples of sediment, rock, fluids and living organisms from below the seafloor. Join Scripps paleontologist Dick Norris to learn about scientific ocean drilling and the long-running international scientific collaboration that has transformed how we understand our planet.
