Ecology Seminar: Reconstructing animal foraging to understand community ecology and inform conservation (Dr. Carolyn Kurle, Biological Sciences, UCSD)

04/10/2019 - 12:15pm
Location:
Hubbs Hall #4500
Event Description:

Research in Dr. Kurle's lab concentrates on the role of foraging dynamics in shaping community structure and driving species population trajectories.  She will share stories from her lab about sea turtles, giant iguanas, and bears in which her reconstruction of animal foraging and habitat use patterns has informed conservation strategies and improved understanding of community ecology.
