Bystanders are individuals who observe harassment first-hand or who are later informed of the incident. There are two classes of bystanders, "passive" bystanders who take no action and "active" bystanders who take action to prevent or reduce harm to the harassment victim. This specialized training will raise awareness of barriers to helping, explore why we should be proactive about helping others, and help participants develop skills and confidence to respond to problems and concerns in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of self and others.
Refreshments will be provided.
