Caltech geochemist Jess Adkins will present a free public lecture at Scripps Oceanography Nov. 6 as part of the Tsaihwa “James” Chow Lecture Series.
His talk, titled “CO2 Sequestration in the Ocean and the Dissolution of Marine Carbonates,” is intended for a general audience and takes place in Sumner Auditorium.
Pizza lunch begins at noon with the lecture to begin at 12:30 p.m.
The lecture series is named for Dr. Tsaihwa J. Chow, a geochemist with a long association with Scripps who died in 2006.
