Scripps climate scientist Veerabhadran Ramanathan will join former President of Ireland Mary Robinson for high tea and conversation to kick off the two-day event “Climate Justice: UCSD Research and the Search for Solutions,” hosted by UCSD’s Center on Global Justice and University Extension. Robinson also served as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997-2002 and now heads the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice.
The tea begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Price Center East Ballroom and is open to the public.
Following the tea, Robinson will deliver a public lecture on climate justice at 7 p.m. also in Price Center Ballroom East. This event is also free.
