MSC Sustainable Seafood Program

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) sustainable seafood program promotes positive change through consumer behavior.   Meredith Epp, MAS-MBC 2014 alumna,  will talk about her role as Communications Officer for the MSC sustainable seafood standard and ecolabeling program in Oceania.  Her current role includes securing media coverage of MSC activities, pursing community partnerships similar to the Taronga Zoo Seal Show and developing further digital outreach strategies for the MSC Australia/NZ/Pacific.

Meredith has worked in digital communications in the United States and Western Australia focusing on web development, social media and science communications. During her master’s Meredith developed a mobile phone application to crowdsource information on marine debris in the deep ocean.
