You're invited to our​ Salty Cinema film festival celebrating science, ​​marine interdisciplinarity,​ storytelling, conservation, and the ocean. This season, we're delighted to feature stories of restoration, science, and community - our highlight film is the award winning feature Sequoias of the Sea!​ This season's theme is Tides of Renewal: Restorative Stories for a Changing World. 

Short-films screening will be followed by a panel and audience Q&A. Confirmed panelists include: ​Natasha Benjamin (Director & Producer of Sequoias of the Seas), Dr. Jennifer Smith (​Professor at SIO), Serge Dedina (​Former mayor of Imperial Beach) and Melissa Torres (Birch Aquarium Aquarist).

*Salty Cinema is a student-driven public event hosted by the Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation (CMBC) at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego.
