The Triton Innovation Challenge is a business competition focused on fostering creativity and bringing to the spotlight commercially promising, environmentally focused technologies generated by the finest minds at UC San Diego.  The competition awards cash prizes totaling $11,000 to support new and innovative ideas that relate to the environment (comes from, inspired by, or directly impacts nature.) Environmentally related social innovation ideas and those with or without a prototype are encouraged to apply. All participants are also eligible to compete for up to $300,000 in investment funding from the Rady Venture Fund and Triton Technology Fund. Anyone (students, faculty and staff) affiliated with UC San Diego is invited to apply.

There will also be the opportunity for Scripps teams to apply and participate in a 4 session Bootcamp leading up to the challenge with the assistance of teaching staff from Rady and the Institute for the Global Entrepreneur as well as support from a business mentor.  The curriculum is focused on value proposition, market opportunity, and path to commercialization using the NSF I-corps content as a basis.   The Bootcamp will be held in April weekly in the evenings from 5:30 -  8:30 pm, dates TBD.

Please come with questions and ideas, we look forward to discussing in more detail at the information session!
