A View from the Vatican: Climate Change, Air Pollution, and Health as Our Responsibility

Event Host: Scripps Institution of Oceanography & UC San Diego Institute for Public Health

The event will reflect on the scientific deliberations by world experts on climate and air pollution, organized and chaired by Dr. Veerabhadran Ramanathan of Scripps Institution of Oceanography and held at the Vatican in November 2017. The meeting was co-sponsored by the UC San Diego Institute for Public Health (IPH), and IPH-affiliated participants included Drs. Ramanathan, Wael Al-Delaimy, Fonna Forman, and Michael Pratt. These UC San Diego delegates will summarize the Vatican discussions and engage in a panel discussion.
