Run or walk the Triton 5K race featuring a 3.1 mile scenic course through UC San Diego, past the King Triton statue, the iconic Geisel Library and several renowned public artworks from the Stuart Collection, including "Bear,” and Do Ho Suh’s “Fallen Star” house perched precariously atop Jacobs Hall. Following the Triton 5K, children 12 and under can participate in the Kids Fun Run, a short course where every Triton-in-Training is a winner! All participants will receive a finisher medal and goodie back. Following the race, enjoy an interactive family zone, hands-on activities for Tritons of all ages, live music, beer garden and healthy living fair.
The Triton 5K: Race for the Future, formerly Chancellor’s Challenge 5K Run/Walk for Scholars, was established in 1996. This long-standing campus tradition has raised more than $3.5 million, benefiting more than 1,000 motivated and ambitious UC San Diego students. Last year, the reimagined race shattered all event goals with more than 2,500 participants and $300,000 raised for student scholarships.
