About El Niño

El Niño is a natural climate phenomena that alters weather patterns around the world. El Niño shows up roughly every three to seven years and typically lasts between nine and 12 months. Moderate-strong El Niño events vary in impact but can include wetter than normal conditions and bring elevated sea levels and associated coastal impacts.
