Bio: I believe that the development of novel technology is essential for driving new science. With a new instrument you can ask a new question, investigate an unexamined phenomena and ultimately develop a deeper understanding of the world. As a scientist and an engineer, I develop novel field instruments and use them to provide a new lens through which to study important environmental issues. Currently I am a PhD student in the Jaffe Lab for Underwater Imaging. Here I have developed the first system to capture microscopic images of coral reefs in the field.
