Bio

Kaitlyn is a graduate student in the Marine Biology Research Division and a Program for Interdisciplinary Environmental Research (PIER) student in the Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation.

Her research is primarily focused on understanding the functional responses of crustaceans such as shrimp and lobster to anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions, including ocean acidification and ocean warming. Of particular interest is communicating and integrating these results to inform policy makers of the potential consequences of current energy sources.
