UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography geophysicists and geologists use a variety of methods to study our planet and its physical processes. Investigations range from the use of geophysical imaging of the crust, mantle, and core to the use of geological sediment cores and rocks to document the record of life and climate from Earth's origins to the present.
