Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego researchers engage in algal biofuels research, conduct electromagnetic surveys to aid in the identification of subsea oil reservoirs and gas hydrates deposits, develop tools and models for energy research and development, and train graduate students for careers in the oil and gas and renewable energy industries.
