The Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation and the California Seaweed Festival is hosting a Seaweed Speakeasy as part of the 2023 California Seaweed Festival. From a seaweed science showcase to delectable seaweed dishes prepared by some of the best local chefs, to seaweed inspired cocktails and mocktails designed by local mixologists, seaweed art from local artists, silent auction, and a specially commissioned live performance by ResilienSEA. Cost of admission includes all this and more. Buy tickets here.

Students who present a poster of their research can attend the event for free. Submit your abstract here to reserve a spot.

Want to volunteer before, during, or after the event? Contact Allison Kellum (akellum@ucsd.edu). Multiple volunteer opportunities are available and event volunteers get free entry to the Speakeasy.
