In December 2020, the Scripps community sent a "Letter on Anti-Racism." One of the demands calls for the Scripps community to quarterly "Commit to days of learning," that should "involve individual learning, community seminars and events, and discussions to help foster a more well-read, broadly informed community of leaders that are equipped to engage with current and future intersectional and global environmental issues."
For our inaugural Days of Learning, Scripps Senior Leadership, the Scripps Community Engagement Fellows, and the Scripps Graduate Student Council have come together to provide an update on some of the many anti-racism efforts that have been initiated over the past few years in response to the Letter. We invite you to attend, hoping that you will actively participate in this opportunity to learn and engage as a community.
Instead of trying to fit everything into one long day, we have split the events into shorter, one-hour sessions over three days. We recognize that not everyone will be able to attend all three days, but we do hope that you will prioritize this opportunity to participate in these important community discussions.
All events are virtual. Registration is required.
