Now in its 8th year, the Scripps Student Symposium (SSS) serves as a platform for Scripps Institution of Oceanography graduate students to present and discuss their research with colleagues from all curricular groups, to foster interdisciplinary collaboration amongst the student population, and to introduce new first-year students to the wide variety of research Scripps has to offer.
Launched in 2014, the Scripps Student Symposium welcomes more than 200 attendees each year including students, faculty, staff, alumni and corporate networking partners. The symposium presentations are designed to be understandable not just to specific fields, but to the broader Scripps community. This year’s in-person program will feature over 50 student-led research presentations including oral and poster sessions, a keynote address from Scripps alumna Emi Koch MAS MBC '19, and a networking social with representatives from BASF, MITRE, DUDEK, Leidos, and Viridos.
Please join us to support our current graduate students, connect with the vibrant Scripps community, and network with our industry partners.
