Representatives from Teledyne Interconnect Solutions (TIS) are coming to Scripps to host a Technical Forum and office hours to present and answer questions about their cables and connectors for subsea environments.

In this Technical Forum, Andy Gardner, Product Line Director, TIS, and Mark Charlesworth, Regional Sales Manager, will discuss cables that can survive harsh environments and extreme depths alongside Teledyne’s Impulse connectors, and the unique custom capabilities that TIS can offer. They will share how TIS can help design electrical systems that will handle the diverse extreme environments. TIS has designed and manufactured the cables used on the ADCP’s for many years, and they do the same for subsea cameras, lighting, sensors etc.
Anyone from the Scripps community is welcome to join. Lunch will be provided.
Following the technical forum, Teledyne will be hosting office hours to continue the discussion from 1pm-2pm, followed by lab visits.
Speaker Bios:
Andy Gardner was recently appointed Product Line Director for Teledyne Interconnect Solutions after working in several Sales and Application Engineering positions for Teledyne Impulse. He has over 30 years of experience with the Impulse and Impulse-PDM product lines of harsh environment electrical and optical connectors.
Mark Charlesworth has been with Teledyne for 25 years. He’s been a Sales Engineer, and now Regional Sales Manager for Teledyne Interconnect Solutions. He has deep expertise in cables used in demanding situations in various industries, including the marine environment.
