Bio
Caelie Fish is a graduate researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography whose work bridges marine biodiversity science, conservation policy, and social innovation. She is currently completing her second master’s degree with a capstone project in partnership with Re:wild and the IUCN, focused on identifying and prioritizing lost marine bony fishes for rediscovery. With 15 years of professional experience—including roles at The Nature Conservancy, the Environmental Protection Network (EPA Region 9), and international NGOs—Caelie blends field and lab expertise with a passion for storytelling and inclusive conservation. She holds certifications in scientific diving, motorboat operation, and eDNA techniques, and brings a global perspective to marine conservation, having worked across North America, Latin America, and North Africa.
