Bio: Carl is studying neural development through metamorphosis as part of the Berghia BRAIN project. He is currently working to describe the neuroanatomy of B. stephanieae through immunohistochemistry, and answer how metamorphosis causes drastic changes to the nudibranch neuroanatomy, and why these changes occur. He is broadly interested in invertebrate metamorphosis and understanding how genes control the formtion of the general morphology, and the underlying neuroanatomy.
