Bio

Lillian R. McCormick is a postdoctoral researcher currently working on
the effects of low oxygen on visual physiology and behavior in marine animals
with Dr. Lisa Levin at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Dr. Nicholas
Oesch in the Department of Psychology at UC San Diego.

Lillian completed her doctoral dissertation, "Oxygen dependence of visual physiology and behavior
in marine invertebrate larvae and its ecological implications" in 2019.
Before coming to SIO, she worked as a research technician at the University
of Delaware, College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment examining the effects
of oil and dispersant on copepod swimming behavior and physiology. At Eckerd
College, she completed an honors research project on the pupil light reflex
and spectral sensitivity in the Atlantic brief squid, "Lolliguncula brevis".
