Around the Pier: Dockside with R/V Sally Ride

More than 4,500 people toured Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego research vessel Sally Ride Oct. 28-30 in downtown San Diego. Scripps leaders were joined by elected officials and Navy leadership in commissioning the vessel, which began its first science cruise on Nov. 4.
