Jerry Brown, Scripps Institution of Oceanography at University of California climate and atmospheric scientist Veerabhadran Ramanathan, and UC San Diego Vice Chancellor of Research Sandra Brown listen as UC San Diego chemist and Nobel Prize laureate Mario Molina discusses the University of California's Carbon Neutrality Initiative, Oct. 27. The two-day Carbon Neutrality Summit yielded the Bending the Curve report, which includes "10 Scalable Solutions" to achieving carbon neutrality. The university has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2025 through a variety of energy efficiency measures and increased reliance on renewable energy.
