R/P FLIP Celebrates 50 Years of Uniquely Serving the Oceanographic Community

MPL's own Research Platorm FLIP is turning 50 this year! In 1962 this concept vessel became a reality, launching for the first time from its shipyard in Portland, Oregon, entering what would become a long and distinguished career serving a unique niche within the ocean scientific community's need for a stable, mobile research platform.
