Career Girls describes itself as "an organization dedicated to providing young girls of all income levels and ethnic backgrounds with the academic tools and support they need to achieve their professional aspirations." The organization has produced a series of video interviews of female scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and technologists in a wide range of fields.
Recently several scientists at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, sat down with Career Girls to describe what they do and why girls should consider careers in the sciences. First up is Lauren Linsmayer, graduate student in marine biology at Scripps.
