Cultured juvenile sea urchins (Lytechinus) raised by PhD student Kate Nesbit in the Hamdoun Lab.

These urchins are now just over 2 months old and were part of a culturing project aiming to raise urchins from larvae all the way through to settlement, according to Nesbit. They're about 1mm across—the size of the tip of a pen.
