For Pride month, WMIS is partnering with Queer@Scripps to highlight a queer speaker for the monthly Growing Up in Science event. On June 2nd from 12:30-2:00pm we will meet in IGPP 4301 and learn about Dr. Wenyuan Fan’s personal journey through science and ask questions. This event is for students and postdocs only. In December 2020, the Scripps community sent a "Letter on Anti-Racism." It also offers tools and resources available to help you look at different options and make the most of your benefit. Intended for: Employees who are thinking about Social Security and want to start planning their benefit claiming strategy.
WMIS is in need of a new logo! Our current logo (see attached) has served its purpose, but the WMIS Leadership thinks a new logo will better reflect the amazing community that WMIS is! We are asking the WMIS & SIO community to help us design and choose a new logo. So, whip out those artistic skills of yours and submit a new logo design before May 22nd. The WMIS community will then be given the opportunity to choose their favorite logo design.
