How to Film at Scripps Oceanography
Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego offers a flat beach, a 1,090-foot research pier, natural tide pools, coastal bluffs, historical cottage exteriors, and coastal outdoor settings. (Access is subject to availability and university guidelines.)
Because Scripps Oceanography is a department of the university, University Communications and Public Affairs (UCPA) is responsible for all arrangements pertaining to commercial filming at Scripps and at Black’s Beach. UCPA screens and processes all requests to film on campus and coordinates with all campus units on your behalf.
Please review the UC San Diego filming guidelines and contact the UCPA to schedule a scout and select an appropriate location for your possible filming project.
