Filming Guidelines
How to Film at Scripps Oceanography
Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego offers a flat beach, a 1,090-foot research pier, natural tide pools, coastal bluffs, historical cottage exteriors, and coastal outdoor settings. (Access is subject to availability and university guidelines.)
Because Scripps Oceanography is a department of the university, University Communications is responsible for all arrangements pertaining to commercial filming at Scripps and at Black’s Beach. Please see the UC San Diego filming guidelines, and, during your shoot, direct all inquiries and questions to the commercial filming contact:
