This talk will cover the understanding of the physics of pressure hydrophones (Omni’s) and the relevance to practical use. Understanding the physics of pressure hydrophones (omni’s) can help you use them effectively. You may know that the tolerance on the sensitivity of a hydrophone is typically ±1dB. This is a reasonable number for higher frequencies, but at lower frequencies, you can calibrate your hydrophone/system to an accuracy of 0.03 dB or less with sewer pipe, equipment you already have, and $1,000.

LiDAR Technology and Applications RIEGL

Contact Tan Nguyen, Business Development Manager

LiDAR, or Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing technology that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (distances) to a target. A LiDAR sensor fires off beams of photons then measures how long it takes for the light to return to the sensor. Advancements in LiDAR systems over the years have enhanced the methodology for survey and an array of mapping applications. When using LiDAR as a tool in the surveying and mapping industry, it can capture real world scenes with accuracies measured in millimeters. In contrast to conventional surveying methods that provide…

As we try and answer more questions about our oceans, more products are being made available to help us answer those questions. But, how do we keep track of all available products? How do we spend less time in the logistics and electrical schemas of those products? Moreover, once learned, how do we document our knowledge and pass it to the next generation of scientists?

Anekonnect was built with one goal in mind. Bring advanced web technologies to the subsea community, and simplify the access to all electrical components. Millions of products…

Innovation continues to transform the state of subsea investigation, inspiring the development of new technologies for increased efficiency of oceanographic operations. Underwater laser scanning is a mature technology that is increasingly being used for underwater exploration. This innovative technology has improved the accuracy, precision, and cost efficiency of subsea survey, inspection, and research operations. The sub-centimetric resolution of the 3D models generated by the systems enables high-precision measurements to be obtained for the comprehensive assessment of subsea…
