Web Server Registration

Please register each server on the SIO network that needs to serve web sites to the public Internet. Without proper registration the server will not be reachable. Web site traffic is typically expected on ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS), but Tomcat Java servers typically use ports 8080 and 8443.

Direct Remote Command Registration

Please register each system on the Scripps network that needs to allow direct remote access from the public Internet to your server using protocols that allow remote operations on the server. The relevant protocols and ports are FTP (21), SSH/SFTP (22), Windows Remote Desktop/RDP (3389), Apple Remote Desktop/ARD/VNC (5900-59__), as well as the file sharing protocols for SMB (Windows), AFP (Mac), and NFS (Unix).
