Several electric vehicle charging stations are available to MarFac employees and visitors, located in the parking area on the bay side of the Marine Physical Laboratory building (Building 4).
To use the charging stations, you must be enrolled in the Power Your Drive program offered through SDG&E. Your Power Your Drive charges will be billed to your personal SDG&E account, separately from your home electricity bill.
The charging stations at MarFac are not public, and require an 8-digit site ID number when you enroll in the Power Your Drive program. You can obtain the site ID in person from the MarFac security staff (located in the Administration Building), or by emailing Crystal Roberts <crystal@ucsd.edu>.
Instructions on how to enroll in the Power Your Drive program are linked here.
