Acquisition and Console Software

ODF uses internally developed software for acquisition of CTD data. 

This software allows console operators to see real-time incoming raw and processed data in various formats, including customized plots. Operators also have the abilility to select and trip water-sampling bottles (i.e. Niskin or GoFlo). 

After each cast is completed, CTD data are updated into a relational database, and CTD and bottle trip data reports are made available to shipboard scientists within a few minutes through the ODF shipboard website.
