For ship time to be used during calendar year 2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Program's solicitation for proposals for ship time in 2021 has been suspended.
The pandemic has significantly impacted the availability of vessels throughout the U.S. Academic Research Fleet, including ships at Scripps. Many projects planned for 2020 were not able to sail as scheduled, and we are working with principal investigators, federal sponsors and our UNOLS colleagues to reorganize ship schedules so that seagoing scientific programs can be resumed safely, efficiently and fairly.
If you are a recipient of a 2020 award but were not able to sail due to the pandemic, please contact Hannah Delapp to discuss your options to reschedule.
If you are a Scripps instructor in need of ship time to support your course, we intend to support you as best we can within the constraints set by COVID-19 prevention protocols. Because those continue to evolve, please contact Hannah Delapp for more information on how to proceed.
